Q&A with the director after the screening.

Riding Wild is a road movie that never leaves town. This documentary follows one man’s quest to lead a tribe of BMXers to bushwhack a secret bike trail through a patch of forgotten woods in Baltimore City to escape the violence outside their doorsteps. Dink, the documentary’s main subject, is a graffiti artist and raconteur who has literally created a community on wheels.

State of Cyclocross

Directed by Drew Coleman | Documentary Short | USA, 22 mins | Montana Premiere

The film is a meditation on the sport of cyclocross. It explores its counter-cultural past, its existence today and what needs to be done to sustain it moving forward. Incorporating voice over by multiple current and former professionals and national champions, it was filmed in Super 8 in a single day in January at the United States Cyclocross National Championships in Reno. Additionally, the film also incorporates still photography which was shot that same day using vintage film cameras and legacy lenses.
